For Global Saemaul Undong to be successful, Korea Saemaul Undong Center has selected model villages in developing countries to pursue various Saemaul projects. Currently, 42 Saemaul Model Villages in ten nations are actively conducting Saemaul projects with Korea’s support and the voluntary participation of villagers. It is encouraging that Saemaul Undong is spreading spontaneously from model villages to neighboring areas in some nations.

    • Since 2009, we have been fostering four different model villages in Laos.
    • As part of Saemaul projects, we are doing projects such as

      • - cultivating crops for a special purpose

      • - setting up rain shelters
      • - arranging places for vegetables’ sale
