C?ndido Pereira dos Santos Van D?nem, minister of Veterans and Ex-Combatants in Angola, and his fellow workers visited Korea Saemaul Undong Center on March 3rd to learn about Korea Saemaul Undong.
The guests to the Saemaul Museum watched the video of Saemaul Undong and listened to explanations about Saemaul Undong’s history from its birth and forward-looking activities in the second movement of Saemaul Undong by touring the Museum.
After touring the Museum, the minister had a meeting with Cho, Myungsoo, the secretary general of Korea Saemaul Undong Center, in the meeting room. They exchanged different opinions about how to apply Saemaul Undong to Angola through cooperation of experts between the two countries.
“Angola and Korea share a lot of historical parallels. We stand a good chance of applying Korea Saemaul Undong when we build new Angola.” the minister said. “Give us a chance to learn the know-how of Saemaul Undong by stimulating research interchange with Korean experts in the future” and he added.
Accordingly Cho, Myungsoo, the secretary general of Korea Saemaul Undong Center, responded, “Project implementation methods of Saemaul Undong focus on building up well-to-do global community through voluntary participation by reforming villager’s consciousness.” Also, he added, “There are a lot of nations which want to share Saemaul Undong. If you make a formal request in diplomatic relations, we will completely reflect your opinions.”
