Korea Saemaul Undong Center is holding Saemaul Training from March 8th to 17th, for ten days, aimed at 21 officials and villagers of Timor Leste in Saemaul Undong Central Training Institute.

This training is arranged to eradicate poverty and establish the sustainable basis of development as a invitational workshop. Timor Leste will cultivate Saemaul leaders and build up the foundation to gear up Saemaul Undong through it.

"Saemaul Undong in Korea could be achieved thanks to voluntary participation and leading effort of villagers who have a strong will to overcome poverty. I hope you play important roles in developing community with Saemaul Undong in Timor Leste." Cho, Myungsoo, the secretary general of Korea Saemaul Undong Center, said through a welcoming speech.

Elda Maria Santos, the Timors ambassador to Korea, explained, "I appreciate all interested parties who give us opportunity to have a training session for eradication of poverty and rural development. I expect all trainees to learn many things to spread Saemaul Undong actively in Timor Leste and to suggest practical ideas."
