[August 18th, 2016] President SO delivered the Saemaul lecture in Bbanda village in Uganda

President SO visited Bbanda village which is one of the Saemaul Model villages in Uganda and delivered the lecture on Saemaul Undong in front of about 500 people including the Korean Ambassador to Uganda, Vice Chairman of Mityana District, the central government official, the president of Uganda Saemaul Undong Center, Saemaul leaders and villagers on last 18th. 

 

  

 

President SO, especially, pointed out the little children in Uganda who filled up front seats and said, “Saemaul Undong will bring a bright future and happiness to them. Also, they can enjoy the true meaning of freedom without relying on anyone. I sincerely hope best practices of Saemaul Undong in Uganda widely spread to people around the world.”

 

 

The meeting for the invitational trainees who completed the Saemaul Training for Uganda was held in the evening. With the invitational trainees and the leaders of village in attendance, they gave presentations on the Saemaul Projects which they have been implementing so far. President SO, also, appointed 15 people as the district managers of Uganda Saemaul Undong Mobile School that is being actively progressed now.

 

 

Mr. SO highly evaluated the results of Saemaul Undong in Uganda which they have been implementing on their own for “A Better Future”. He, also, explained about the purpose and future direction for Saemaul Undong Global League 2016 which will be held in October and requested attention and cooperation of participants for it.
