Korea Saemaul Undong Center is holding the Saemaul Training for 20 Saemaul leaders and members from Fiji · Papua New Guinea · Philippines from September 20th to 29th, for 10 days. 

It is arranged to cultivate Saemaul leaders for eradicating poverty of developing countries and establishing sustainable development foundation and instill Saemaul spirit(diligence·self-help·cooperation). Also, the trainees can implement Saemaul Undong by themselves in their own country through this step-by-step training.

SO, Jin Kwang, the president of Kroea Saemaul Undog Center, emphasized, “The role of Saemaul leaders is to develop their village at first and their community next. Finally, they have to contribute to development of their nation at last. Through this training, I sincerely hope you play these leading role in implementing Saemaul Undong and become a living history in development of your country.” 

“I really appreciate that Korea Saemaul Undong Center provides the opportunity of Saemaul Training. I hope you will actively implement Saemaul Undong in each country by learning it well through this training for your country’s development.” Filimone Kau, the Fiji ambassador to Korea, described.

 Also, he welcomed the trainees by holding Kava ceremony which is a traditional welcoming ceremony of Fiji. 

*When visiting Fiji, you will find yourself taking part in many Kava ceremony. It is an important aspect of visiting any village and it is customary to present a gift of Yaqona(Kava root) to present to the executive head of the village. (Source-google)
