[October 17th, 2016] MOA with KOICA for activating Global Saemaul Undong

Korea Saemaul Undong Center and Korea International Cooperation Agency(KOICA) made an MOA(Memorandum of Agreement) for activating Global Saemaul Undong on last 17th.

 

This MOA is an extension of a MOU(Memorandum of Understanding) forged in August, 2012. Also, it focuses on building organic and close relationships related to Global Saemaul Undong Projects between both organizations.

  

According to the agreements, each organization will promote human interchange such as volunteers, trainees and professionals. Especially, they are going to implement the Saemaul Projects for Kyrgyzstan as a symbol of the first cooperation between them.

SO, Jin Kwang, the president of Korea Saemaul Undong Center, expected, “Saemaul Undong can achieve magnificent effects in Global Saemaul Undong Projects if we share the secret of KOICA’s overseas development cooperation projects and Korea Saemaul Undong Center’s experience and professionalism for invitational training together through this MOA.” Also, he added, “Saemaul Undong is the Korea’s national brand and it has a comparative advantage to change a ODA paradigm in the future.”
