Central Council of Saemaul Womens Club(president Baek, Okja) held the workshop for president of national Saemaul Women’s Club and Healing Concert for multi-cultural family at the Korea Saemaul Undong Center from November 10 to 11.
With 350 people including presidents of Saemaul Women’s Club in cities and provinces throughout the country and multi-cultural family in attendance, the event was held in great success.
It was arranged to encourage the “One More Child Campaign” by forming a consensus on low birthrate and aging population and to contribute to a stable life of international marriage women immigrants in Korean society.
The event included special lectures by the presidents of Central Council of Saemaul Womens Club and Korea Saemaul Undong Center, sport activities, best case presentation on the activities of women’s club and the healing concert with multi-cultural family. Also, there were a magic show and a prize draw.
17 multi-cultural families in all parts of the country from various countries including Indonesia, Japan, China, Philippines and Vietnam entered a singing contest and had a talent show as a part of the Healing Concert.
Baek, Okja, the president of Central Council of Saemaul Womens Club, said “Today, I can see a bright future of Saemaul Women’s club through all of you who are full of powerful and positive energy in a show of unity.” Also, she added, “I sincerely hope to see more of your work in the future since I’m sure the workshop gives you good opportunity to find your respective roles and a sense of duty in helping those in need.”
