SO, Jin Kwang, the president of Korea Saemaul Undong Center had a meeting with Guru Prasad Baral, the president of Madan Bhandari Memorial Academy Nepal in Radisson Hotel.

President SO said,“I visited Nepal to share Korean experience and cases of Saemaul Undong. In this way, I will help rural areas in Nepal to develop their country by themselves without overseas aid.”Also, he added, “Nepal has displayed its high understanding of Saemaul Undong. Korea Saemaul Undong Center will make efforts to give villagers and government officials related to rural community development an opportunity to participate in the invitational Saemaul Undong Training.”

President Baral explained, “We also have implemented projects for community development based on Saemaul Undong in Korea.” And he added, “We organized 93 women groups and especially we are working on technical education support for 49 schools such as computer education and other practical education.”

The representatives of two organizations discussed on cooperation system by establishing department related to Saemaul Undong for community development and sending Saemaul Undong specialist to Nepal.

President SO, meanwhile, is on a business trip to Nepal as a follow-up for Global Saemaul Leadership Forum 2016 and the foundation of Saemaul Undong Global League. He visited Chitwan district office and Piple 2 village on last 19th. Also, he had a meeting with Saemaul leaders in Nepal Saemaul Center and delivered a special lecture on Saemaul Undong for the Spread of Autonomous Implementation and Sustainable Development.
