[December 15th, 2016] Meeting with the ambassador of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of AFGHANISTAN in Korea

Mohammad Saleem SAYEB, the ambassador of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of AFGHANISTAN in Korea, visited Korea Saemaul Undong Center on last 15th.

 

 

Mohammad Saleem, explained, "The Afghanistan government implemented National Solidarity Program(NSP) in 2003 but it didnt produce good results. Weve implemented Citizen Charter Program(CCP) which complements the NSP, we still have a lot of problems though." He also said, "I ask for expanding Saemaul Undong training program and the number of trainees so that Saemaul Unodng which takes social and cultural differences into account between Korea and Afghanistan can be spread and applied to all of us."

 

 

SO, Jin Kwang, the president of Korea Saemaul Undong Center, answered, "I believe the Saemaul spirits of diligence, self-help, cooperation are inherent values not only for Saemaul Undong in Korea but also all human beings." And, he added, "Based on these spirits, people in Afghanistan also can achieve good results for their development. Lets discuss ways to spread them by organizing task force among the Afghanistan government, the embassy and Korea Saemaul Undong Center. "
