Bereket Simon Wolde Gerima, with the coordinator of Minister Industry Study&Research Department in Ethiopia, and his fellow workers had a meeting with President SO, Jin Kwang. Ph. D. of Korea Saemaul Undong Center on last 27th.

At the meeting, Advisor Gerima said "The role of Saemaul Undong in the process of Korean economic development was very impressive to me." He added, "I believe Saemaul Undong will be a great role model for development of Ethiopia. Also, I hope you share know-how of Saemaul Undong."

President SO, Jin Kwang of Korea Saemaul Udong Center responded to it. "Ethiopia dispatched six thousands combat troop during the Korean War. Many Korean are grateful for people in Ethiopia." President SO also said "We, Korea Saemaul Undong Center always make an effort to cooperate with Ethiopia and support it for the spread and implementation of Saemaul Undong in Ethiopia."

Ethiopia had requested to learn successful experience of Saemaul Undong at the Global Saemaul Leadership Forum 2016 ("GSLF 2016") last year and it has been implementing various SMU projects including the invitational Saemaul Undong Training as one of the members of Saemaul Undong Global League (SGL).
