[May 11, 2017] Meeing with Ambassador of Papua New Guinea to Korea and the Saemaul Undong Training for 5 countries

Andrew Yamanea, ambassador of Papua New Guinea to Korea, had a meeting with president SO, Jin Kwang of Korea Saemaul Undong Center on last 11.

 

At the meeting, ambassador Andrew Yamanea said, In Papua New Guinea, about 8 communities with support from the Provincial Government have already been implementing SMU projects. Also another province has been interested in SMU for their development. I believe government officials and villagers who are participating in this Saemaul Undong Training perform a key role as SMU pioneers.

 

 

Meanwhile, Korea Saemaul Undong Center is holding the Saemaul Undong training for government officials and villagers from Fiji, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Philippines and Uganda from last 11 to 20.

 


The training focuses on making participants understand core values and essentials of Saemaul Undong in Korea.

In the opening ceremony. president SO, emphasized, Most of all, Saemaul leaders have to develop their village and then they have to continue to develop their community and country. He added, I sincerely hope you guys play an important role for it and become a living history of nation&39s development through Saemaul Undong.
