2017 National Saemaul Leaders’ Convention was organized by Korea Saemaul Undong Center in the BEXCO, Busan.

Under the slogan“Saemaul Undong, the Seed of Global Peace through Inclusive Growth”more than ten thousand people including domestic saemaul leaders, heads of cities and provinces organizations, global saemaul leaders from 38 different countries, and members of municipal council attended this occasion. 

At the opening remarks, President SO, Jin Kwang. Ph. D. of Korea Saemaul Undong Center mentioned that “all of Saemaul leaders and members have been implementing various types of Saemaul Undong at family member level and community level, and Global Saemaul Undong for raising the community spirit and global co-prosperity this year.”

He also added that “if we recover the nature of Saemaul Undong and make an effort for sustainable community development and global co-prosperity by showing our abilities, I believe Saemaul Undong can contribute greatly to making Korea where people are happy and achieving universal liberty and equality.”
