Korea Saemaul Undong Center(KSC) held the General Assembly of Representatives 2018 at the auditorium of Korea Saemaul Undong Academy on February 28, 2017.

With approximately 300 representatives in attendance, KSC looked back on major project performance of 2017, decided the general project plan for 2018 and the budget of revenues and expenditures, and appointed a new president in the assembly.

Chung, Sung Heon who serves as the chairman of Korea DMZ Peace-Life Valley was elected as the 24th president of KSC.

President Chung said Saemaul Undong in the 1970s to 1980s had contributed to absolute poverty through harmony between potential of the people and governmental policies. Now it&39s time for implementing a campaign to save out planet&39s environment based on Saemaul Undong spirit of diligence, self-help, and cooperation. We have to save agricultural sector and rural areas of our nation. Let&39s make the world where all creatures live in peace and people respect each other by conducting a campaign for energy conservation and for community revitalization.
