Eighteen government officials and Saemaul leaders from Burundi attended a opening ceremony of the Saemaul Undong training on last 23.

The training course has been organized to let trainees know core values and essentials of Saemaul Undong and strengthen their ability to implement income generation project. Also, they will participate in other curriculums such as lectures, presentations, field trips, and small-group discussions.

Secretary General Lee, Myoung Sik of KSC delivered, in his welcoming remarks, “We, Korea Saemaul Undong Center promise to be your partner for expanding and implementing Saemaul Undong in Burundi.” He added “I sincerely hope all of you establish a community which enriches your own life based on the SMU spirits of diligence, self-help, and cooperation and work out a development strategy for Burundi in the future.”
