President Chung, Sung Heon of Korea Saemaul Undong Center had a meeting with Mr. Joreti Dakuwaqa, charge d’affaires ad interim of the embassy of the Republic of Fiji to Korea on June 26. This meeting was organized to share experience of Saemaul Undong in Korea and discuss mutual cooperation methods between two organizations.

Mr. Joreti Dakuwaqa said “I cordially request your active cooperation in a process of preparing SMU project implementation in model villages.” He added “I especially hope many Fijians can learn Saemaul Undong and its spirits by participating in the Saemaul Undong training courses.

“I believe Fiji has a lot of potential to practice its own Saemaul Undong, applying advantages and success stories of Korean Saemaul Undong. We will also study Fiji including its agricultural sector and current situations for vitalization of Saemaul Undong in Fiji,” President Chung responded.
