Korea Saemaul Undong Center(KSC) held the &39Global Saemaul Leadership Forum 2018&39 under the theme of &39Life, Peace, Sustainability, and Solidarity&39, at Korea Saemaul Undong Academy from November 27~29, 2018.

The event, which lasted for 3 days, attracted more than 500 people including 200 foreigners who consisted of Saemaul leaders from 45 countries around the world, high level government officials including vice minister, ambassadors to Korea, and international development experts. They discussed effective ways to make a sustainable life society and a joint action plan for the ecological crisis of the earth at the forum.

President Moon, Jae In of the Republic of Korea sent the written congratulatory remarks for the GSLF 2018. Minister Kim, Boo Kyum of the Interior and Safety delivered it on behalf of President Moon and he also delivered his own welcoming remarks. After this, two saemaul leaders from domestic and overseas gave a presentation about each best practice of Saemaul Undong in their village and the award ceremony for outstanding saemaul leaders from home and abroad was organized.

At the opening speech, President Chung, Sung Heon of KSC said, In order to overcome the global crisis of life, we need a path of great paradigm shift. For the awareness and solidarity of the whole world, Saemaul Undong and the Saemaul Undong Global League (SGL) would be the driving force of hope and advancement.
