On May 8, Chung Sung Heon, president of Korea Saemual Undong center(KSC), met with Wu Lan, Deputy Secretary of Hunan provincial Committee to share Saemaul Undong experiences and find ways to apply them to Hunan province. at the presidential office of KSC located in Seongnam-si)

President Chung Sung Heon of KSC responded, “voluntary participation among farmers and government support led to the success of Saemaul Undong. I hope that you can find a way to strengthen the capacity of rural communities as well as promote its farming industry.”

Deputy Secretary Wu Lan expressed “ China is facing the risk of rising economic inequalities, widening gap between urban and rural areas. China focusing on new countryside construction is showing a lot of interest in Korea’s Saemaul Undong.”
