On February 25, 2019, H.E. Ambassador Andrew Yamanea of Papua New Guinea visited Korea Saemaul Undong Center (KSC) to share Saemaul Undong experiences and plans for cooperation.

Ambassador Yamanea said, “Since 2017, Papua New Guinea has been enthusiastically promoting Saemaul Undong with the participation of key leaders and residents of four SMU model villages*. We appreciate your support towards successful promotion of the movement. As to the invitational training course for Papua New Guinea, I hope you will organize a curriculum that will help the trainees learn how to manage project funds and grow income.”

President Chung, Sung Heon of Korea Saemaul Undong Center said, “In the past, the combination of human and material resources was important in Saemaul Undong. But in modern society, harmony with nature is also important. I hope that a good combination of Papua New Guinea’s national policy and Saemaul Undong will not only protect the country’s beautiful natural environment but also achieve economic development at the same time.”
