Korea Saemaul Undong Center hosted Saemaul Undong Training for Kyrgyzstan for 10 days from March 4 to 14, for 18 Kyrgyz civil servants and village leaders.
The course is designed to change the awareness of residents of the four SMU model villages and the officials of related organizations in Kyrgyzstan and strengthen their capabilities to carry out Saemaul projects. The sessions included Saemaul Undong principles, case studies, field trips, cultural experiences, and networking.
Zarlyk Turgunbaev, the Representative of the State Agency for Local Government and Interethnic Relations in the city of Osh and Osh region said, “Since the beginning of Saemaul Undong in Kyrgyzstan in 2017, the movement has greatly contributed to changing the consciousness of the public and local development. We will pass on the knowledge and spirit that we have learned here to villagers in Kyrgyzstan, and continually work for the development of our country.”
