Korea Saemaul Undong Center hosted Saemaul Undong Training for Timor-Leste for 18 trainees from East Timor for 10 days, from April 9 to 18.
The training program aimed at improving public awareness and quality of life through educating on the basic theory of Saemaul Undong in Korea and training Saemaul leaders to improve their abilities to initiate and manage projects.
Guimaraes Zito, Officer of Livestock, Ministry of Agriculture and Fishery of Timor-Leste said, “I realized many things during the Saemaul training I received in Korea in person. Through this training, I learned what kind of mentality is needed for a better life. We have to break out of laziness, work hard, participate voluntarily, and break the habits of working alone to work together. If we change our thinking, we can do it.”
