[Apr. 9 - 13th, 2019] Saemaul Undong Training for Saemaul Coordinators

Korea Saemaul Undong Center held Saemaul Undong Training for 5 days from April 9 to 13, for 11 coordinators (one each from Laos, Myanmar, East Timor, Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Papua New Guinea, and Honduras) and one advisor (from Mongolia).


This training was designed to provide education on the basic theories of building a global community to protect all life movement and the role of coordinators in guiding global Saemaul projects. It also laid the foundation for successful settlement and dissemination of SMU model village projects through training on practical affairs such as project budget execution and account balancing.


Kim, Jin Taek, the Saemaul Undong Coordinator in Myanmar, said “The training session was valuable in that we can share the lessons of trial and error from Saemaul projects implemented in many countries. When we go back to each of our countries, we will use the knowledge and experience we have gained here to alleviate global poverty and pursue peace though successful gobal Saemaul Undong.”
