Korea Saemaul Undong Center held Saemaul Undong Training for Honduras for 18 civil servants and village leaders for 10 days, from May 21 to 30.

This training program consisted of various sessions that included Saemaul Undong theory, group discussion, field trip, and case studies of Korea’s Saemaul Undong, and was designed to alleviate poverty and improve quality of life by changing public awareness and strengthening capacities to initiate Saemaul Undong.

The chief leader of Cuyali Village, Duarte Montoya Lee Esau, said, “We can deepen our understanding of Saemaul Undong and strengthen our will to contribute to the development of our villages and the country by practising the movement. With the principles and lessons of Saemaul Undong in mind, I will do my best to support the development of Cuyali Village and Honduras.”
