?Korea Saemaul Undong Center held Saemaul Undong Training for Burundi and Madagascar for 13 civil servants and village leaders for 7 days, from June 12 to 18.
This training program was designed to help increase understanding of Saemaul Undong, strengthen the ability to engage in practical affairs to disseminate the movement in the two countries and improve quality of life. Sessions included Saemaul Undong theory, case studies, group discussion, field learning, and cultural experiences.
The trainees planted kenaf seeds, which come from a plant that is helpful by mitigating fine dust, in Asadal nanum orchard of the Central Training Center of Saemaul Undong to create an educational environment for 2030 Building a Global Community to Protect All Life Education and highlight the importance of a great transformation of Saemaul Undong, the building a global community to protect all life movement. 
Samson Ndihokubwayo, Director General of Burundi’s Finance Ministry said, “The sparks of Saemaul Undong are spreading out in Burundi. In this session, I gained a deep understanding of the movement’s principles. It was a meaningful time in that I was able to consider the role of government.”
