Korea Saemaul Undong Center(President Yum, Hong Chul) held the video conference on March 25th, 2021, appointing the twelve(12) Saemaul coordinators from eleven(11) countries for the year of 2021.

The Saemaul coordinators are expected to systematically promote and manage activities of Saemaul Undong including residents’ SMU projects, and training.

During the conference, the coordinators were given change to present outline of the local Saemaul Undong in each country including its history, projects, training, etc. and gave us information such as recent Covid-19 status and measures, discussing how to get through this crisis.

Saemaul Undong is a best practice contributed to the social and economic development of Korea. conditions may differ from country to country but I believe Saemaul Undong’s core spirit is universal adoptable to any place in anytime. I hope the coordinators appointed today to do your best not only in supporting the local SMU activities with the people but in spreading Saemaul Undong and its core spirit of Diligence, Self-help, and Cooperation across the nation to make ‘better communities’ for our partner countries, said Dr. Yum, Hong Chul, President of Korea Saemaul Undong Center during his speech at the conference.
