Yum Hong-cheol, president of Korea Saemaul Undong Center, encouraged leaders at the ‘2021 Cheongdo Saemaul Ecologt Campaign’ held at the riverside of Cheongdocheon Stream in Cheongdo-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do on the 10th (Friday).

The Campaign was organized by Cheongdo-gun and Cheongdo-gun Saemaul Association in Gyeongsangbuk-do.

Yum Hong-chul, president of Korea Saemaul Undong Center, Minister of Environment Han Jung-ae, member of the National Assembly Lee Man-hee, and Kang Sung-jo, governor of Gyeongsangbuk-do, attended the campaign.

President Yum Hong-chul praised the Cheongdo-gun Saemaul Association in its encouragement speech, saying, It was a global initiative to push for a resource recycling project 21 years ago, adding, There is a vaccine for the COVID-19 incident, but the climate crisis is not. We need to change our way of life by practicing reducing consumption and waste in our daily lives and saving electricity, he said.
