'2022 Fiji Saemaul Undong Workshop' was held at the Southern Cross Hotel in Suva, Fiji, on January 5 (Wednesday) in the presence of Kim Seokjin, Secretary General of Korea Saemaul Undong Center , Park Youngkyu, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Fiji, and Inia Seruiratu, Minister of Rural Development, Fiji.
On this day, leaders and 60 residents from the three Saemaul Undong Model Villages(Mau, Silana, and Naimashima) also attended the workshop presenting cases of Saemaul Undong Project by village, followed by the discussion of Fiji government's '10-year rural development plan(2021-2031)' with Saemaul Undong and a question-and-answer session as well.
At the workshop, Minister Inia Seruiratu of Fiji said that if the spirit and principles of Saemaul Undong were applied to Fiji, a better future would be welcomed. said it would.
Secretary General Kim Seokjin replied that he would actively support Saemaul Undong in Fiji through continuous support for Saemaul Undong Projects & Education for Fiji residents.
