On September 29, at the temporary general meeting of delegates in 2022, Kwak Daehoon, former member of the National Assembly, was elected as the 26th President of Saemaul Undong Center.

​President Kwak Daehoon said on this day, "Saemaul Undong over the past 52 years has been a beacon of hope that has achieved the development of the Republic of Korea and illuminated every corner of our society through the 3 basic spirit - Diligence, Self-help, and Cooperation." And he also mentioned that he will carry out an exciting Saemaul Undong so that the Saemaul Undong can play a pivotal role in creating a 'warm country where we live together'.​
