Korea Saemaul Undong Center carried out monitoring and local training for the 2022 Laos Saemaul Undong Model Village Project from 2022.11.28 to 12.5. 

The Laos monitoring team visited the 4 Seamaul Undong Model Villages, checked the contents of the project operation, and provided guidance to supplement the deficiencies of the Model Village Project Operation in the future. They also visited the Embassy of Korea to Laos and the office of Agriculture & Forestry Department, Vientiane Capital and asked for interest and cooperation in carrying out Saemaul Undong Model Village Projects in Laos. 

During the visit to Laos, the Laos monitoring team promoted local training at the Halla Rural Development Training Institute for 4 days and 3 nights from November 30, 2022 to December 3, 2022. Total of 49 people, including residents, Saemaul leaders of 4 Model Villages, and public officials in charge, participated in Saemaul lectures, field trips, group discussions, and action plan presentations. According to the plans established through this local training, Saemaul projects for 2023 will be promoted.

About 80 villagers from 4 Model Villages, public officials in charge, and the monitoring team from Korea Saemaul Undong Center attended the Laos Saeamul Undong Model Village Project Workshop held in Lung Kean Village to share the results of the year's projects and encourage each other. 

Laos was selected for the Saemaul Undong Model Village Project in 2020 and promoted the pilot village project for five years until 2024, and this year marks the third year of the project.
