Korea Saemaul Undong Center carried out monitoring and local training for 2022 Cambodia Global Saemaul Undong Model Village Project from December 18th to 24th, 2022. 

The Cambodian monitoring team visited 4 Model Villages, evaluated the performance of the projects, and through a meeting with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Cambodia and the director of the Community Development Bureau of the Ministry of Rural Development of Cambodia, they identified the current status of Saemaul Undong in Cambodia and requested interest and cooperation in promoting the Projects.

This year, Cambodia 4 Model Villages have constructed village halls, public toilets, supplementation of village kindergarten facilities, and promoted a water source protection facility project as environmental improvement projects.​

During the visit, the Cambodia monitoring team promoted local training at the Cambodia-Korea Rural Development Center for 4 days and 3 nights from December 20, 2022 to December 23, 2022.

Cambodia was newly selected for the Global Saemaul Undong Model Village Project this year and the Projects will be implemented for five years until 2026.
