Korea Saemaul Undong Center (President Kwak Daehoon) held ‘2023 Saemaul Undong Training for Cambodia’ from April 25th(Tue) to May 4th (Thur) to promote sustainable Global Saemaul Undong.
Since 2022 Cambodia has been implementing Saemaul Undong Projects in 4 pilot villages. This training was attended by a total of 20 people, including 4 Cambodian public officials and 16 Saemaul leaders from the pilot villages.
This Saemaul Undong Training for Cambodia was designed to help localize Saemaul Undong in Cambodia by enhancing understanding and sharing best practices of Saemaul Undong.
The training offered a valuable opportunity to the trainees to strengthen their competencies through success factors and implementation strategies of Saemaul Undong, sharing success stories, establishing action plans, and field trips for sustainable Saemaul Undong and localization in Cambodia.
During the graduation ceremony on May 4th, Cambodian trainee Nov Samol shared his training experience and said, “Now I have learned Saemaul Undong, I myself can organize Saemaul Projects as I plan to promote for the sustainable development of Cambodia.”
Kwak Daehoon, the president of Korea Saemaul Undong Center, requested that this training would pave the way for Cambodia Saemaul Undong to set the right goals and direction, making a great success story.
Besides that, at the opening ceremony which previously held on April 25th, Secretary General Kim Hwan-Hak of the Saemaul Undong Center attended and congratulated the trainees on their admission.
