Korea Saemaul Undong Center (President Kwak Daehoon) held ‘2023 Saemaul Undong Training for Zambia’ from May 15th(Mon) to May 24th (Wed) to promote sustainable Global Saemaul Undong.
Since Zambia just started Saemaul Pilot Village Project this year(2023), so this training has an important meaning in understanding Saemaul Undong at its first step for a better life. This training was attended by a total of 20 people, including 6 Zambian civil servants and 14 Saemaul leaders from the 4 pilot villages.
This Saemaul Undong Training for Zambia was designed to help localize Saemaul Undong in Zambia by enhancing understanding and sharing best practices of Saemaul Undong.
The training offered a valuable opportunity to the trainees to strengthen their competencies through success factors and implementation strategies of Saemaul Undong, sharing success stories, establishing action plans, and field trips for sustainable Saemaul Undong and localization in Zambia.
During the graduation ceremony on May 24th, Zambian trainee Maluba SACHELO said, “Thanks to the Saemaul Undong Training, I have the confidence that I can do it, and I would like to contribute to the implementation of the Saemaul Undong Pilot Village Project in Zambia through this training.”
Kwak Daehoon, the president of Korea Saemaul Undong Center, requested that this training would further strengthen the determination of Saemaul leaders in Zambia and serve as an opportunity for the Saemaul Undong to spread throughout Zambia, and to carry out more active activities for this purpose.
