Korea Saemaul Undong Center(President KWAK, Daehoon) held ‘Saemaul Undong Training for International Students 2023’ at the Centum Premier Hotel in Busan for 4 days and 3 nights from July 4th(Tue) to 7th(Fri).

​This training, in which 42 foreign students from 30 countries participated, shared the successful development experiences of Korea Saemaul Undong in Korea, to enhance understanding of Saemaul Undong as a resident-led community development model, and to promote networking among international students who are studying in Korea, and as well as embassies and central associations in and out of Korea. It was prepared to lay the foundation for exchange and cooperation of Saemaul Undong targeting developing countries.​

Starting with lectures on Korea’s Saemaul Undong, international students attended the opening ceremony of Global Saemaul Undong Miniterial Meeting 2023 and two special seminars at the ministerial meeting of partner countries regarding ‘Reginal Development & Saemaul Undong’, ‘Saemaul Undong Strategy for Sustainable Devleopment’, and established an action plan, introduced Saemaul Undong methods to rural development.

​KWAK Daehoon, President of Korea Saemaul Undong Center visited the training program at the hotel and said, “I hope this training would be an opportunity for you to learn and understand the overall of Korea Saemaul Undong and furthermore.”​
