Following their visit to Papua New Guinea, President Kwak Dae Hoon and the delegation arrived in Suva, the capital of Fiji, on the 22nd. They met with Fijian government officials to learn about the current status of regional development and government support for Saemaul projects. Subsequently, they visited the Naimasimasi Village, located 32km west of Suva, where a university club overseas volunteer team had stayed and conducted volunteer activities this summer. They also had a meaningful meeting with Ambassador Park Young Kyu to discuss the situation and future development plans for the Saemaul Movement in Fiji.
Later, they moved to Mau Village to inspect the pilot village project site and had the opportunity to meet with the residents. President Kwak Dae Hoon observed the residents' pride, determination, and commitment to Saemaul Undong.
President Kwak Dae Hoon also held a meeting with Mr. Dito Kwa, Minister for Agriculture, Rural and Maritime Development, and Disaster Management, to discuss the future development plans for Saemaul Undong in Fiji and nationwide expansion. This meeting followed the Global Cooperation Country Ministers' Meeting held in Busan, marking the second encounter between the two. After the meeting, Minister Dito Kwa accompanied President Kwak to Salana Village, where they were welcomed by residents. They inspected the project site, encouraged village leaders and members who had been involved in Saemaul projects, and shared thoughts on the progress of Saemaul Undong in the community.
