The Saemaul Undong Center will host a global Saemaul Undong academic seminar on December 13th and 20th.

Co-organized and sponsored by the Saemaul Undong Center and Representative Lee Man Hee, the seminar is themed 'Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow of the Global Saemaul Undong.' It will be divided into Session 1 and Session 2 on the 13th and 20th, respectively.

The seminar Session 1, held on December 13th (Wednesday) in the 2nd Conference Room of the National Assembly Member's Office Building, began with an opening speech by President Kwak Dae Hoon. This was followed by a congratulatory speech from Representative Lee Man Hee, a congratulatory address from Yoon Jae Oh, the Floor Leader of the People Power Party, a keynote lecture by Kim Joon Kyung, Honorary Professor at KDI School of International Policy, and a presentation by Professor Park Jong Dae of Yonsei University's Graduate School of International Studies.

Subsequently, various experts were invited for presentations and discussion sessions. Seminar Session 2 is scheduled for December 20th (Wednesday) in the 3rd Lecture Room of the Saemaul Undong Center.​
