On Wednesday, September 4th, Korea Saemaul Undong Center  (President Kwanglim Kim) hosted the Global Saemaul Leadership Forum and Global Saemaul Undong Senior Officials' Meeting 2024 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul Pangyo in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.

Marking its 11th year the Global Saemaul Leadership Forum, under the theme “Together Saemaul, to the World, Future,” brought together permanent secretary, directors, and ambassadors from 45 countries to share the values and achievements of the Saemaul Undong.

During the conference, foreign Saemaul leaders and key figures who have taken the lead in the Global Saemaul Undong were recognized and commended. The participants also shared best practices and engaged in meaningful discussions on local development policies in each country.

In the subsequent Senior Officials' Meeting of Saemaul Global League Countries, participants discussed the current status of  Saemaul pilot villages and their self-sustained expansion in various countries, as well as strategies for applying the Saemaul Undong to non-participating nations.​
