On Tuesday, April 8, Saemaul Undong Center held an opening ceremony for Papua New Guinea Saemaul Undong Invitational Training.

Papua New Guinea has selected four pilot villages to propel Saemaul Undong starting in 2024, and local government officials and village leaders(Total 22​) have entered the training for strengthen capacity to promote Saemaul project.

At the opening ceremony, President Kim Gwang-lim of Saemaul Undong Center delivered words of encouragement, saying, "If you embrace big dreams and dedicate yourselves to your country's development through this Saemaul Training, you will be able to replicate Korea's development experience in a much shorter time."​
