On Thursday, May 28, Korea Saemaul Undong Center (President Kim Gwang-lim) received a courtesy call from a member of the Kyrgyz Parliament to share successful cases of Saemaul Undong and discuss ways to strengthen international cooperation.

During the meeting, President Kim Gwang-lim and MP Zhunushbaeva Rakhat Myrzabekovna shared South Korea’s successful experience with Saemaul Undong and engaged in an in-depth exchange of views on the future direction of the movement within Kyrgyzstan.

Reviewing the achievements of the Kyrgyz Saemaul Undong Association and various pilot village projects that have been ongoing since 2010, both sides explored practical opportunities for cooperation to achieve sustainable development.

Moving forward, Korea Saemaul Undong Center plans to build on its solid cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, continuing its support and efforts to foster resident self-reliance and revitalize local communities.
