On Tuesday, June 2, Korea Saemaul Undong Center (President Kim Gwang-lim) welcomed Shaukat Abdulrazak, the Vice Minister of the Directorate of Science, Research, and Innovation under the Kenyan Ministry of Education, to the Saemaul History Museum to share case studies of Saemaul Undong (New Village Movement).

The visit was arranged to enhance the high-ranking Kenyan official's understanding of Saemaul Undong and to expand cooperation and exchange in rural development between the two countries.

Vice Minister Shaukat Abdulrazak toured the exhibits at the Saemaul History Museum and visited the archives, which house materials inscribed on the UNESCO Memory of the World Register. There, he personally examined past project logs and village meeting minutes, gaining a deeper understanding of the development process and achievements of Saemaul Undong.

Korea Saemaul Undong Center plans to continue its efforts to spread the Global Saemaul Undong and strengthen the foundation for international cooperation with partner countries, including Kenya, based on these ongoing exchanges.
