From July 24 to 31, Korea Saemaul Undong Center visited pilot villages in Eastern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea, to inspect the progress and achievements of its ongoing project.
The delegation, led by Secretary-General Choi Hyong-jae, reviewed the status of community-driven rural development ODA projects—including drinking water supply and housing improvement—and discussed ways to expand international cooperation.
In addition, the delegation delivered sponsorship funds from Saemaul Sisterhood Project to children in the pilot villages.
Korea Saemaul Undong Center plans to continue expanding international cooperation and spreading the values of Saemaul Undong to foster community-led, sustainable village development in the future.
