On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, Korea Saemaul Undong Center (President Kim Gwang-lim) held the closing ceremony for the 2026 Nepal Saemaul Overseas Voulnteer Corps.

The Ceremony featured presentations of activity results and personal reflections, a screening of the activity video, the awarding of volunteer service certificates, and recognition of outstanding volunteers.

At the ceremony, Secretary-General Choi Hyong-jae remarked, "This volunteer program was a meaningful time that went beyond simply lending a hand it was about nurturing the living environment together with local residents and sharing each other's cultures." He added, "We will continue to expand overseas volunteer opportunities so that young people can put the Saemaul spirit into practice on the ground and share its value with the world."

We extend a big round of applause to the Saemaul Overseas Volunteer Corps, who practiced the value of sharing based on the Saemaul spirit for 15 nights and 16 days, even in an unfamiliar environment.
