​On Friday, September 4, 2026, Korea Saemaul Undong Center (President Kim Gwang-lim) held the closing ceremony for Saemaul Undong High-Level Officials Training for Lao PDR.  

Nine senior Lao PDR government official trainees attended the ceremony, successfully completing their four-night, five-day training schedule. 

The trainees explored localization measures suited to Lao PDR's circumstances through a Korea-Lao PDR rural development cooperation workshop, learning about the process of promoting Saemaul Undong and developing action plans. 

The Center plans to continue providing steady support so that the trainees can successfully integrate Saemaul Undong into their countries' rural development efforts and further develop related policies.
